What to Expect
What is a legal consultation? A consultation is a confidential conversation where a lawyer shares legal information and advice. We make space for you to share your goals and concerns. We will need to ask you questions about your life. Any information you share with us cannot be shared with anyone else, including family members. We may need to review documents and to complete legal research to tell you what options you have.
Who is the consultation for? We offer consultations to New Yorkers seeking immigration legal advice and representation who live in New York and New Jersey. We also offer case strategy consultations for attorneys who are working on immigration cases nationwide.
Collect your documents. Please collect any and all identity documents, family documents, travel documents, immigration documents, arrest history documents, copies of applications filed, and any other document you think is important for us to fully understand your case. If you have lost important immigration documents, we may be able to assist you in getting a copy.
